Birth records were recorded in at least three volumes of the Acts of the General Assembly of Virginia held in the Law Library’s special collections. The birth records listed here, noting the birth of a second son to Sue Keys in 1819, were crossed out by another owner of the book. Inscriptions such as these offer details about the life of the volume and the lives of its owners.
