Satanta & Big Tree Scrapbook Images

Thomas Ball, who defended Satanta and Big Tree, was born in Northern Neck, Virginia in 1836 and served as a captain with Robert E. Lee. After the Civil War, he became an attorney in Texas, serving as assistant attorney general for some period of time. Ball's oldest son, also named Thomas, put together the scrapbook in the early 20th century.

This scrapbook was donated to the Wolf Law Library by W.T. Thompson, the grandson of Thomas Ball, Sr.'s daughter, Isabelle.

Below are the individual images from the scrapbook. You can also view the full scrapbook in the repository.
