Julius Chambers, Counsel to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People's Legal Defense and Education Fund accepted the 1989-90 Marshall-Wythe Medallion during Charter Day in February 1991. Chambers was unable to accept the award last year. After an informal lunch with students, he delivered a lecture to the College community on the Bill of Rights and the individual liberties it protects.
