An unauthorized but updated edition of The Lawes of Virginia Now in Force, often referred to as "Purvis" so named for its supposed undertaker the ship captain John Purvis. Even though the General Assembly suppressed it, it remained in use well into the eighteenth century. This copy is on loan from the Library of Virginia.
