Cynthia Ward joined the William and Mary law faculty in the fall of 1997.
Professor Ward is a graduate of Wellesley College. She received her J.D. from the Yale Law School, where she served as Articles Editor on the Yale Law Journal. Before coming to William & Mary she taught at Arizona State College of Law. Professor Ward's scholarly articles have appeared in Columbia Law Review; Notre Dame Law Review; Northwestern University Law Review; and University of Chicago Law Review, among others. Her current research focuses on Criminal Law, Criminal Responsibility, Law and Psychology, and the law of sexual violence.
