<p>This edition of <strong>Horace Smith</strong>'s (1836-1922) <em>Treatise on the Law of Negligence</em> (1880) differs in organization from standard American treatises on negligence because it divides the laws of negligence into classes. Smith included explanations of duty, standards of care, contributory negligence, res ipsa loquitur, and damages.</p>
