<p><strong>Thomas Francis Gordon</strong> (1787-1860) produced this treatise to summarize the public laws, treatises, and acts of Congress in force at that time. It covers legislative powers, executive powers, the judiciary, powers of the individual states, and powers in relation to foreign entities. It also includes the United States Constitution, the criminal and civil codes, and the military code.</p>
