<p>Justice Robert H. Jackson (1892-1954) was an Associate Justice of the U.S.Supreme Court from 1941 to 1954, and prior to sitting on the Supreme Court was both the United States Solicitor General and the United States Attorney General. In 1945, President Truman appointed Jackson as U.S. Chief of Counsel in the prosecution of Nazi war criminals.</p>
<p>The Nuremburg Trial was one of the first attempts at global criminal prosecution. This book includes the opening statement and other documents highlighting the importance of punishing bad actors in war in a legal manner, rather than execution or other violent means.</p>
